fide test

The fide test certifies oral and written language skills in German, French and Italian. It has been specially designed for everyday life in Switzerland, on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM). Oral and written skills are assessed separately, and the language passport can be used to certify the levels attained (A1, A2 or B1) when applying for a job, naturalisation or a residence or settlement permit. You can register for the fide test anywhere in Switzerland: there are more than 100 accredited test centres, which organise fide tests several times a year.
